Castle Chapel

The chapel is one of the oldest and most intimate spaces within the castle estate. Its stucco-vaulted ceiling still bears the inscription “ND 1714,” connected to Nemes Domonkos and the early 18th-century restoration works — one of the earliest visible traces of the castle’s history.

The cross-vaulted interior preserves both the character of historic architecture and the memory of the castle’s former daily life, when the chapel served as the spiritual center of the estate.

The chapel remains consecrated to this day, made even more significant by the relic of Blessed Bishop Vilmos Apor, received as a gift from the Diocese of Győr — a true honor for the castle.

Through its silence and understated beauty, the chapel remains one of the castle’s most remarkable spaces, offering a setting for reflection, intimate occasions, and personal moments alike.
