UGRON CASTLE – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS GDPR PRIVACY POLICY
By making a reservation, guests agree to the hotel’s internal regulations, house rules, and personal data processing policy (GDPR).
For telephone reservations, acceptance of terms occurs upon arrival.
Room Reservation
Room reservations are made primarily online through www.ugroncastle.ro, as well as via online booking platforms such as Booking.com, Travelminit.ro, Expedia.com, H2B.ro, Szallas.hu, and other similar reservation portals. Reservations may also be made by email or telephone using the contact details provided on our website, or in person at the reception desk of Ugron Castle.
Check-in / Check-out
Check-in: the room is available from 2:00 PM
Check-out: by 11:00 AM on the day of departure
Rooms are inspected upon checkout. Any missing items or damages are the guest’s financial responsibility.
Late check-out: 50% of the daily rate applies until 6:00 PM; 100% of the daily rate applies after 6:00 PM.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Reservations are confirmed only after all stated conditions (e.g., deposit payment) have been fulfilled.
Credit card details (cardholder name, number, expiry date) may be required as booking guarantee.
Outstanding balances must be paid upon arrival or before departure.
Cancellation terms:
Individual bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival.
For “non-refundable” packages, payments are not reimbursable.
Cancellations within 14 days prior to arrival result in forfeiture of the deposit (up to 50%).
Within 7 days prior to arrival, 100% of the booking amount is charged.
Accepted payment methods:
Cash: only in Romanian Lei – RON
Credit cards: VISA, Mastercard
Holiday cards: Sodexo, Edenred (only for accommodation-related services).
All invoices are issued in RON. For EUR-based reservations, the conversion is made using the current Banca Transilvania exchange rate on the invoicing date.
Pets
Small and medium-sized pets (<35 kg) are allowed with an additional fee (only in rooms Granarium 1, Granarium 2, Granarium 3, Granarium 4.)
Guests are fully liable for any damages caused by their pets.
Pets are not allowed in the restaurant or ballroom areas.
Behavior at the castle
Please respect the peace and privacy of other guests, especially after 10:00 PM.
Proper attire is required in the restaurant; swimwear is not permitted.
Hotel property must not be removed from the premises.
Fire and safety regulations must be observed at all times.
All rooms are non-smoking; smoking in the room incurs a 100 RON cleaning fee.
Outdoor Hot Tub
The use of the hot tub is complimentary and at guests’ own responsibility, until 10:00 PM. For your comfort, we provide extra towels and bathrobes for all guests using the hot tub.
We kindly ask you to inform us of your intention to use the hot tub 4–6 hours in advance, so that we can prepare it to the appropriate temperature.
After use – especially during the evening hours – please ensure that the cover is replaced and the system is switched off using the side controls.
We also kindly ask you to return the bathrobe to your room after use.
Security
The hotel premises are under CCTV surveillance.
The hotel is not responsible for valuables left in rooms.
Lost keys incur a replacement fee of 100 RON.
No flammable materials may be stored in guest rooms.
Parking
Free parking is available for hotel guests. Vehicles may enter the inner courtyard only during arrival and departure.
Breakfast / Dining
Breakfast is included in the room rate and served between 08:00 AM and 10:00 AM in the castle restaurant.
Please inform us in advance of any food allergies or intolerances.
Food and beverages not purchased on-site may only be consumed in the guest’s room.
