An afternoon where poetry found its melody and centuries-old traditions came to life.
On 30 July 2026, as part of Cristuru Secuiesc Cultural Week, the gardens of Ugron Castle became the setting for a special cultural gathering celebrating music, visual arts, folk traditions and Transylvanian heritage.
The afternoon opened with a musical poetry performance by Máté Török, founder of the Misztrál ensemble. Through his distinctive interpretations, Hungarian poetry was transformed into music, creating an intimate atmosphere within the historic surroundings of the castle.
The occasion also marked the closing of his cyanotype photography exhibition. Through this distinctive photographic process, the artworks captured the architectural beauty and timeless character of Transylvania’s historic castles, offering a different perspective on the region’s built heritage. Personal stories shared by the artist, together with his musical performance, brought the exhibition to a meaningful conclusion.
The evening continued with the Aurora FolkGlamour fairy-tale-inspired fashion show. Drawing inspiration from szekler legends and folklore, the performance brought together traditional Hungarian attire, contemporary fashion and folk dance in a colorful artistic presentation. Accompanied by the Forgórózsa Folk Dance Ensemble, the show brought the characters and stories of szekler folklore to life.
For Ugron Castle, hosting such cultural encounters is an important part of preserving its heritage. Beyond safeguarding its historic architecture, the castle remains a place where art, traditions and contemporary cultural life can come together.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Máté Török, the Aurora FolkGlamour team, the Forgórózsa Folk Dance Ensemble and everyone who joined us for this memorable afternoon.
