Pro Urbe and Pro Cultura Awards Ceremony

It was a privilege for Ugron Castle in Filiaș, a historic estate with more than 500 years of heritage, to host the ceremony honouring the distinguished contributions of the Cristuru Secuiesc community. The occasion also marked the beginning of the town’s annual celebrations, Keresztúr City Days.

The city’s highest distinctions were presented in the castle’s historic interiors during the official opening ceremony. The guests were welcomed by Consul Zoltán Soós and Hunor-János Koncz, Mayor of Cristuru Secuiesc.

The Pro Urbe Award was presented to Áron-István Fazakas in recognition of his decades of dedication to community building, sports education and promoting the town’s reputation. The Pro Cultura Awards were bestowed upon K. Attila Balázs and Ferenc Zsidó for their outstanding contributions to literature and cultural life.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the award recipients, whose dedication and achievements continue to enrich the cultural and community life of Cristuru Secuiesc.

At Ugron Castle, preserving our historic heritage also means embracing the cultural and community life of the present. We believe that historic walls truly come alive when they become the setting for new stories, meaningful encounters and memorable moments.
